Horizon's Junior Council hosted the kick off event for Safe Horizon's
13th Champion Awards Luncheon. We welcomed more than 400 supporters
at the Calvin Klein Collection Store on April 14th. Guests enjoyed
hors d'oeuvres by Creative Edge, cocktails by Pink Vodka and Barefoot
Wine and Bubbly.
The guests - including actors Mario Lopez (A Chorus Line) and Cheyenne
Jackson (Xanadu), as well as model and fashion expert Kelly Bensimon -
gathered to celebrate Safe Horizon's commitment to raising awareness
about issues of violence and abuse. This year's Champion Awards
Luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 8th and will give us an
opportunity to applaud our partners and honor those who have gone to
extraordinary lengths to assist New Yorkers in need. Safe Horizon's
Junior Council, who co-hosted this Calvin Klein cocktail reception,
will be presented with the Champions for Tomorrow Award for raising
funds.
