Migdal Ohr Young Leadership cocktail party at Mosaic
04/10/2008
Over 200 young professionals came out Thursday April 10th for Migdal Ohr Young Leaderships' A Night to Remember: MOSAIC.
Over 200 young professionals came out Thursday April 10th for Migdal Ohr Young Leaderships' A Night to Remember: MOSAIC. The crowd mingled amongst unique art and floor to ceiling mosaics, sampled mint, pomegranate, even passion fruit mojitos, and savored some of the tasty morsels Prestige caterers had to offer. With DJ Furious from Hot97 playing some great background music, people didn't want to leave. So the evening extended to a local spot where even more revelers joined the party. Thanks to the generous contributions of our sponsors and event attendees, Migdal Ohr Young Leadership raised money for the hachnasat kallah program to help engaged students of Migdal Ohr plan a beautiful wedding and set up a home with everything they may need to start married life. Stay tune for details about our upcoming limo scavenger hunt event September 18, 2008 - City Sleuth: Celluloid City.
The AFMO is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that represents the fundraising arm of Migdal Ohr in North America.
Migdal Ohr programs in Israel are funded in part through grants from educational, absorption, and welfare Ministries in Israel. But these funds cover only part of the operational expenses. So fundraising from private donors and foundations is essential to our critical mission: to help disadvantaged children in Israel, and provide them with all they need to become responsible, happy, and productive citizens.
For the first time in our history, American Friends of Migdal Ohr has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest honor of four stars, 'exceeding industry standards and outperforming most charities in its cause."
Charity Navigator is the Nation's premier independent charity evaluator and analyzes the financial health and efficiency of thousands of charities across the country.
Thank you for being our partners in this great achievement.
