I would have preferred it if either a) the film lost the narration and any significant intent and was just played for laughs or b) the director was forced to watch the box set of The Wonder Years Tv series which trod these boards more effectively in an earlier era. This was a fantastic family film. Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 was a excellent movie. I discover it difficult not to like the family members in this movie. As excellent as the very first Whimpy Kid.
