Alex Pettyfer was alright, Timothy Olyphant was good, hecan't assist but be great. Also, don't get me started on the Thirty-Sue pileup that is Number 6. I get the dvd and i like it. I have in no way read the source material for I Am Number Four full movie, but I would hazard a guess that it did a half decent job of explaining what is going on, and did not just strive to set future sequels in motion. Full video! A sequel need to be in the works. We know all this since "John" has told is in an opening voice-over which is the film's very first huge mistake - it would have been much better served by us studying the backstory in bits and pieces. This has got to be 1 of the finest movies I've noticed in a while. My sons in their 20s loved it and so did I (I'm 50) and if you have any love/like for sy fy, you will too, no matter what your age. Many folks go to a movie to break it down and hate on it, why not just go to the movies for a great time. It is virtually exclusively about teenage romance, and it has the cheesiest, over-elongated moments ever. Alot of action and a excellent story. This movie isn't an additional tongue-in-cheek teen movie. Loud, a heavy use of special effects, and explosions and massive destruction around each and every corner are enough to satisfy even the most deprived action junkie. The action wasn't really awesome. The movie was great for what it had but it lost so significantly detail from the book. By all means go see it. I would give this movie a 3/five stars. I feel sorry to see Timothy Olyphant in this terrible film after his terrific performances in the critically acclaimed Television series: Justified. A small strange but I liked it. So while the movie was great on it's own, it is only connected to the original book by shed strings. This was a excellent adventure movie. Attempt not to be hyper vital. It is not fantastic but I would say above average for this sort of film. Man am I gonna get chewed on for this… "I Am Number Four" is the best date movie, filled with action, romance and intrigue, with lots of fantastic unique effects and some nice characterization, a wonderful plot and definitely a good movie to munch popcorn to, no. Caruso andproducer Michael Bay are to blame. Definitely much more of a chick action flick. Yet another bang up job boys. In my opinion, don't waste your cash at the movie.
