Summer in the City 2008
Generation Harvest, City Harvest’s young professionals group, hosts the annual Summer in the City restaurant tasting with the city’s hottest chefs and cocktails artists.
What: City Harvest is the world’s first food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city’s hungry men, women, and children. Summer in the City is Generation Harvest’s biggest fundraising event of the year.
Participating restaurants at this year’s event include Broadway East, Butter, Dirt Candy, Ed’s Lobster Bar, Four Seasons, Landmarc, Rickshaw Dumpling Bar, Ron Ben-Israel Cakes, Rosa Mexicano, Stanton Social, T Bar Steak and Lounge, The Dessert Truck and Toloache, among others.
Wines will be provided by Empire Merchants, alcohol will be provided by Grey Goose and beer will be provided by Brooklyn Brewery. Guests will have the chance to win unique culinary, travel, entertainment and activity prizes and experiences through the raffle and silent auction.
Who: New York’s hottest industry professionals, socialites, celebrities, philanthropists and tastemakers. The event is expected to draw 500 people and raise over $150,000 in support of City Harvest and its programs. A detailed list of attendees is forthcoming.
