How did he propose?: He decorated our apartment with 1000 roses and 3000 rose petals. I walked into the apartment and a path of roses and rose petals led me to our bedroom. He was standing with a box, and on the bed in rose petals it said, "Will you marry me?"

I was walking in memory of my father and Antoine was with his mother, who is recovering from lymphoma. We recognized each other from our alma mater. Antoine was one year younger than me at Yale.
