How did you meet? We met at Penn State University in
his fraternity house. My friend was dating one of
his fraternity brothers so I was there with them hanging out. Somebody
went and told him there was a girl downstairs he should come and
meet. We were best friends for a year and half before we started
dating.
How did he propose? Edouard proposed on a boat on
the Canal du Rhone in the south of France. We were visiting his family
in Paris and were en route to Montpellier to spend a couple days on the
beach with his aunt, uncle and cousin. Instead of going to their
house, we ended up at a houseboat. It was just the two of us on the
boat
for three days (you can rent and drive them on this Canal without a
license) sleeping in ports and docking along the canal to ride our
bicycles
through vineyards and tiny villages. We had three days on the boat,
but he proposed after half an hour. My parents were in on it, and
when
I called them after he asked, they were like "Already?! I guess he
really couldn't wait!" Read more about Edouard and see the engagement

Restaurant? The night we got engaged, Dan took me to Asiate in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Between the view and the chef's
tasting menu - it was the best meal I've ever had!
How did you meet?
This is a long story! Dan and I were supposed to get
set up through a mutual friend in the summer of 2007. We both
declined. He did not want to date a "city girl" and I didn't want to
date
someone who lived on Long Island. We actually had been at several
parties together and never met. The first was a wedding back in August
of 2006. I went with a friend and didn't know the bride and groom. He
was in the bridal party and I thought he was adorable - but he had a
girlfriend. Then in October of 2007 we were at a small Halloween house
party together. I tend to be the social butterfly and would NEVER
sit on the couch - while he prefers to relax and take it all in - so
again - we did not speak at this party. In February of 2008, he came
to the
city for a friend's birthday at The Volstead on East 54th street. As I
was walking in, he was leaving - and I actually thought he was someone
that had not returned an email of mine from the Jdate website! Just 2
weeks later, at another birthday party at Public House on East 41st
street
we were introduced. I had walked in and he was standing to the side
talking to our friend Steve. I said to myself, "There's that Jdate guy
again, why does he keep showing up at these parties!". Read the full story and see more photos - Click Here
