How did you meet?: My
best friend from law school, Emily, brought me with her as her “plus
one” to a JNFuture Committee member swing dancing lesson. I was the new
gal in the crowd so she was introducing me to everyone. She introduced
me to Zvi and we had a great 2 minute conversation, but he suddenly
disappeared and I didn’t speak to him for the rest of the night (I
later found out he ran away because he had brought another plus one
with him and felt pretty awkward). I guess when he saw me getting
ready to leave with my coat in hand he got over feeling awkward, put
his hand on my shoulder, and said “You’re leaving? You can’t leave.”
I stayed, and we wound up talking for a good two hours. I then said
goodnight to him and went home. He called me 10 minutes later to say
goodnight and make sure I got home ok, and he called me the very next
morning and asked to meet me and my dog, Dillon, in the park. We’ve
been inseparable ever since.

Did the proposal go as planned? Yes,
except for the fact that as soon as we walked up to the rooftop the
waiter brought us a bottle of champagne (before we had a chance to
order anything). She asked me “did you order this?”
