2nd Annual Journey of Hope Gala at the Hard Rock Cafe in NYC.
The Brain Injury Association of New York State hosted its second annual Journey of Hope Gala on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. This year, the event took place at the Hard Rock Café in New York’s Time Square. Once again, film and television stars Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco served as the event’s honorary co-chairs.
The event featured a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and raffle. In addition, an array of awards were given to individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to increasing awareness of brain injury and funding for the Association. Among those being honored at the Gala were Bob Woodruff, Trisha Meili, D. Thomas Ruttura and Peter Ruttura, and Deborah M. Benson, PhD.
