Enjoy this year’s special event with an up-close and personal Q&A session with NBA coaches Larry Brown, Doc Rivers, Mike Woodson, and NCAA coaches Bill Self and John Calipari, who faced each other in this year’s NCAA finals.
The H4H Ubuntu Award will be presented to coach Doc Rivers of the NBA Champion Boston Celtics for bringing Ubuntu (the spirit of unity) to his amazing team.
The evening will feature African music and drums, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres & festivities to support Hoops 4 Hope! Live and silent auctions will top off the night with unique sports memorabilia, such as fantasy items and impossible-to-buy major league baseball and basketball experiences. Tickets start at $250.
Hoops 4 Hope is a non-for-profit organization which gives over 10,000 children in South Africa and Zimbabwe a better chance to beat the odds in communities plagued by poverty, HIV/AIDS, drugs and crime. Founded in 1995, H4H combines the joy of sports programs with youth friendly curriculum that promotes leadership and responsibility, while empowering youngsters to thrive in the big leagues of life.
