The 11th annual Sculpture Objects & Functional Art fair, best known as SOFA NEW YORK opens with a private preview and dinner on May 28. More than 60 leading international galleries will offer masterworks in ceramics, glass, metal, wood and fiber by major artists such as George Nakashima, Peter Voulkos, Dale Chihuly, Wendell Castle, as well as a new generation of emerging artists. Galleries from 10 countries including Japan, Italy, England, France, Canada, Denmark, Korea, Argentina, Turkey and the United States present museum quality work which bridges design, decorative and fine art. The fair runs through June 1st.
