The American Sephardi Federation/ Sephardic House presents an exhibition of paintings by Zimbabwean artist and activist, Stella Cohen.
In the painting series, Oracle Women, Ms. Cohen pictorially explores various female archetypes across cultures. The forceful personalities, spiritual symbols, vivid colors, and protective amulets of Cohen’s Oracle Women evince a direct emotional response. Through them, Cohen combines the specific (the Sephardi woman) with the collective (the universal female).
